Lily Allen’s wedding was a few days ago and she showed us that at the end of the day the most important thing is love. The singer got married last week, and no one saw it coming. To many people’s surprise, she tied the knot Las Vegas-style to Stranger Things actor David Harbour. In true Lily Allen fashion, the wedding was quirky, fun, and done her way! Here’s the rundown on everything you need to know about their wedding.
Lily Allen’s Wedding Was Soooooo Las Vegas
Las Vegas has a reputation of quick and cheap weddings at chapels. It’s a popular city to get married at, even for celebrities. Allen and her husband tied the knot on September 7th at Graceland Wedding Chapel, where other celebrities like Billy Ray Cyrus and Jon Bon Jovi got hitched. Lily’s wedding was complete with an Elvis impersonator as the officiator and dinner at In-n-Out Burger afterwards.
Lily Allen’s Dress Channeled Jackie O Chic
Lily donned a 60s-inspired Dior knee-length white dress with black buttons on top, a classic white veil, and a pink and orange flower bouquet. The dress cost $4,000, which Lily had no issue wearing while chowing down on an In-n-Out burger. If that’s not the perfect way to get married, what is the perfect way then?
The Couple Haven’t Been Together Very Long Before Marrying
Rumors of Lily Allen and David Harbour together sparked in August 2019 as they were spotted together in London’s Piccadilly District on a date to the theater. A month later, they attended a boxing match together at the O2 arena in London. The couple blended into the crowd as much as possible, getting there by tube and got exposed by appearing on TV in all smiles.
In fact, when Harbour appeared on Saturday Night Live in October 2019, Lily Allen posted a couple of pictures of her partner from a sketch he did to her Instagram story. The second photo zoomed into Harbor’s bicep with the caption, “Mine” next to it. Giving us vibes that this was a real deal!
But It Wasn’t a Fling It Was Real
Pictures of the happy couple surfaced at the SNL after-party in New York City after the episode aired, as they attended together. Paparazzi spotted them the next day strolling in Manhattan’s SoHo district, not shying away from the PDA. Other dates from the month were a red carpet event and a basketball game.
Although the media at first portrayed it as a fling, they became Instagram official at the end of October. Harbour posted pictures of them at Disneyworld. The two then made their awards show debut at the SAG Awards in January 2020.
Engagement rumors began in April of this year as Lily Allen uploaded a not-so-subtle photo of herself with a diamond ring on her right finger. One year later after their first date, they’re now the latest happily married newlyweds!
